DR. CHRIS BABITS

Historian, Educator, and Instructional Technologist

Known to students as "Dr. B.," I am an interdisciplinary scholar who teaches courses in history, intersectional gender studies, psychology, and religious studies.

My most recent publications have appeared in History of Psychology, The History Teacher, Modern Intellectual History, Pacific Historical Review, Teaching History, and U.S. Catholic Historian.

I was most recently the director of education and professional learning in Utah State University's Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and I have helped improve concurrent enrollment courses at The University of Texas at Austin and Utah State.

I have a PhD in U.S. History from The University of Texas at Austin. My research investigates histories of religion, gender, and sexuality in the 19th and 20th centuries.
